The Mathematics Research Center, A.C. (CIMAT) is a public research center integrated into the CONACYT Public Research Center System. It is dedicated to the generation, transmission,and application of specialized knowledge in the area of mathematics, statistics, and computer science. Oriented towards scientific research, the training of high-level human resources, the improvement of society's mathematical competence, as well as support in solving problems that fall within its areas of interest , CIMAT seeks to contribute to the scientific and technological development of Mexico.

Dr. Adrián Pastor López Monroy obtained his Master's and Doctorate degrees in Computer Science from the National Institute of Astrophysics, Optics and Electronics (INAOE, Mexico) in 2012 and 2017 respectively. In 2017, he received the award for the best doctoral thesis in Artificial Intelligence (AI) from the Mexican Society of AI. Subsequently, in 2017 and 2018, he was a Full-Time Associate Researcher and Lecturer at the University of Houston, Texas, USA. Currently, Dr. López Monroy is a Full-Time Research Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the Center for Research in Mathematics (CIMAT, Mexico). His research areas include Deep Learning for Natural Language Processing, and since 2013 he has led participations in machine learning competitions in European forums such as the "Conference and Labs of the Evaluation Forum CLEF-PAN" and the "Iberian Language Evaluation Forum IberLEF", winning first place in various editions in Spain, England, France, and Greece. He is a member of the National System of Researchers (SNI) and CONAHCyT in groups for artificial intelligence (e.g., Alianza-IA, RedICA), and language technologies (RedTTL). He currently has over 60 peer-reviewed publications in journals, conferences, and book chapters, as well as more than 1300 citations and an H-index of 19 in Google Scholar.

Fernando Sánchez-Vega obtained his MS and PhD degrees in Computer Science from the National Institute for Astrophysics, Optics and Electronics (INAOE, Mexico) in 2010 and 2016, respectively. He received the Young Researchers Award from the Center for Advanced Studies in Information and Communication Technologies (CEATIC) at the University of Jaen (UJaen), Spain in 2017. In 2020, he held a Postdoctoral Fellow position in the Department of Computer Science at the Mathematics Research Center (CIMAT, Mexico) and another in the Data Sciences Program in Humanities at the Colegio de Mexico (COLMEX) in 2021. Since 2022, Dr. Sánchez-Vega has been a Professor in the Department of Computer Science at CIMAT, Mexico. His research topics of interest include deep learning, natural language processing, language and vision, and data sciences. He regularly collaborates with multiple research groups, including the "Lexicon, Dictionary, and Information Technology" Laboratory (LDI) at Université Paris Nord, France, and the Natural Language Engineering Lab at the Pattern Recognition and Human Language Technologies (PRHLT) Research Center in Spain, Language Technologies Laboratory (LabTL) at INAOE, Mexico, among others.

Alejandro Rosales-Pérez obtained his degree in Electronics Engineering from the Technological Institute of Tuxtla Gutiérrez, in Chiapas, and Master's and Doctoral degrees in Computer Science from the National Institute of Astrophysics, Optics and Electronics (INAOE) in 2011 and 2016, respectively. Currently, he is a Researcher at the Centro de Investigación en Matemáticas (CIMAT) in Monterrey, and he is a Member of the National System of Researchers, Level I.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Autonomous University of Yucatán, Master's degree in Science with a specialization in Computer and Industrial Mathematics, and Doctorate in Science with a focus on Computer Science from the Center for Research in Mathematics (CIMAT). I have experience in teaching courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Additionally, I have worked in the industry as a data scientist, undertaking various projects mostly related to data analysis and modeling from diverse sources to generate specialized algorithms for problem-solving. Consequently, owing to my scientific academic background and industry experience, I have been able to work and collaborate with multidisciplinary groups and research, particularly in the health sector alongside medical professionals, nutritionists, marine biologists, neurobiologists, and genomics experts. Since 2019, I have been a Researcher for Mexico (CONACyT), and I am currently assigned to CIMAT-Mérida Unit conducting research in computer vision and data science applied to national issues. I am a member of the National System of Researchers, Level 1.

In 2012, he received his Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering from BUAP, and in 2014 and 2019, he obtained his Master's and Doctorate degrees in Computer Science from INAOE, specializing in Artificial Intelligence and Natural Language Processing. He has authored various articles in national and international journals and conferences. Since 2019, he has been a researcher for Mexico at CONACyT in CIMAT-Monterrey Unit. He is a member of the Mexican Association of Natural Language Processing and the Mexican Society of Artificial Intelligence.

Currently, he is a senior academic technician (level C) at CIMAT Monterrey Unit, where he conducts research and collaboration in areas such as machine/deep learning, natural language processing, spatio-temporal statistics, and complex data analysis. He is a member of the National System of Researchers with level 1 accreditation.
